So this is the stuff I miss by avioding FB? I think certainly the internet can indulge people who are happy with merely thinking they are helping a cause, but it also makes it easier in a lot of ways for those same people to actually do something, like those who may click the links you posted and actually act.

NATIONAL CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH (April)2012 Opening Ceremonies Sunday April 1st-Sacramento,CA.
THE CAUSE: National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM) is a time set aside to focus specifically on preventing child abuse/neglect within our communities. Specifically by fostering education and collaborations which facilitate the type of awareness required to prevent criminal conduct against the youngest and most vulnerable members of society.

THE CONCERN: With crimes against children on the rise we have a moral obligation to focus upon this serious issue and take action which works against predators and all whom lack the ability or insight to properly protect children in their care.
THE CAMPAIGN: The Greater Sacramento region proudly hosts this 50 state kick off, featuring opening ceremonies Sunday April 1st collectively pulling people and resources together which will call significant attention to this important cause. Events that day include: Departure of Kross Kountry-4-Kids (Folsom Harley-Davidson 115 Woodmere Rd. Folsom,CA.) then a Leadership Luncheon, Family Safety Fair & Heroes With Heart Gala (Sunrise Event Center 11167 Trade Center Drive Rancho Cordova,CA. 95670).
The Camaraderie: By pulling together individuals, groups and businesses which have a specific interest in this cause while forming partnerships with the Justice Community, Law Enforcement, Education Liaisons and Social Services we are able to facilitate collaborations which produce positive accessible resources that work to fulfill our mission, and secure safer communities for children.
CROSS COUNTRY: Program partners from all 50 states participate in this project, working in harmony with foundational facilitators of Northern California, to generate a message and movement which is effective and brings forth positive sustained results. Incorporated into the United States outreach is a two week motorcycle journey traveling from Sacramento to Washington D.C. and back, serving as a formal and peaceful demonstration of help and hope for children nationwide!

  • MARILYN DATZ says:

First off, major kudos to both Marc, Mark, and Kathleen. It is not only an honor, but a privilege, (although a friend says it is my calling) to be a part of this organization. I am a member of Parents of Murdered Children, as well as Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, (and yes, I lost my daughter to a drunk driver) all of which can be combined into this project. I am so excited. Either it is my imagination or actually true, but the numbers seem to be up in abducted children. They might not have a voice, but I certainly do, and plan to use a high level to get my point across. Am working on several projects to generate some more income for this fabulous group. My daughter’s story is on FB, at JUSTICE FOR LINDSAY BRASHIER: EXTRADITE EVELYN MEZZICH FROM PERU. Please feel free to scroll back to the beginning, and scroll forward to read the story, and also if you feel the urge, hit the “like” icon. THANKS!

I am so glad to be in touch with Kathleen and every here on this website as we “work” toward supporting those who have survivored childhood sexual abuse as well as “work” towards making sure our children today do not experience the horrors we survivors feel. Let me know what I can do here in Minnesota to advocate for survivors. Peace.

  • I am privledged and honored to be apart of such an important cause, to be a force for children with no voice in an effort to cease child abuse, I am assured that the Lord will guide our steps, our minds, as well as our vision throughout this journey to bring peace, hope, safety, and light to these unfortunate abused children. I thank Kathleen DeSpain Moore for recruiting me to join such an incredible movement, and I vow to do all I can from Detroit, Michigan to get others to put on a Halo as well !!!

  • Very Excited to be part of the Army of Angels here in Arizona…… we are one of the WORST States to provide services and care to victims of sexual , emotional and physical abuse.. I know because I worked with these little victims for more than 15 years… they just slide through the unfortunate cracks. When I was young and being sexually abused, there was nothing anyone could do because it was not a crime at the time. The worst part was finding out my uncles knew what was happening but instead of doing something they just kept their kids away…. but in the 70′s nobody knew what to do.
Now I have a voice here in the Army of Angels, this is my way of making sure someone in this state is at least aware that we are here and not going anywhere until changes are made to help out children ….. being a child should be a fun time , not a time of fear and disappointment. That is why I am proud to be here working on this……Be Safe and Ride with the Mark”s

I pray this will be successful beyond your imagination. May all riders be safe during the Journey.
